About the Role
This position is responsible for developing and implementing market access agreements with various organizations to ensure competitive access for company products. The role involves analyzing the impact of contracting, providing insights, ensuring pricing compliance, and supporting process improvements and compliance oversight. This individual works closely with legal and compliance teams to manage complex contractual rebate obligations and validate account performance results.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitate pricing and execution for company products, including current and future pipeline assets.
- Develop thorough analytics pre- and post-contract execution to communicate results and performance clearly.
- Contribute to shaping contracting strategies with access stakeholders, including pharmacy channels, commercial payers, government payers, and others.
- Manage pricing and contracting execution, including preparing materials for pricing committee meetings and communicating strategies to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Oversee state price transparency reporting to ensure timely completion of requirements and compliance with regulations.
- Support gross-to-net projection and accrual processes through reporting, analysis, and collaboration.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Stay informed about market access and health policy landscapes, including legislative developments like the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), payer trends, and other relevant changes.
- Develop actionable insights from complex data for access customers, including specialty pharmacies and distributors.
- Track and report on coverage dashboards and payer team performance metrics.
- Attend industry conferences, customer meetings, and internal meetings to stay current on the competitive environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in healthcare or pharma, or 8+ years with a master’s degree or MBA. Experience in biopharma launch operations and analytics preferred.
- Strong expertise in process improvement and technical or service enhancements.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to mentor others and lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Deep understanding of U.S. commercial and government payer landscapes, reimbursement models, and healthcare policy.
- Skilled in negotiating with stakeholders and influencing senior leadership.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
