Job description

Position Overview
The role is responsible for managing sales and account activities within the assigned territory, focusing on expanding market presence for a portfolio of multiomics and synthetic biology solutions. This individual will build and maintain customer relationships, identify opportunities for growth, and meet sales objectives while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Introduce and promote a portfolio of multiomics and synthesis services through proactive prospecting and new account acquisition.
  • Leverage expertise in workflows related to drug discovery, drug development, gene-to-antibody, and proteomics to provide consultative solutions.
  • Manage customer accounts, ensuring a robust sales pipeline and maintaining accurate CRM records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, Technical Support) to deliver tailored solutions and drive customer-centric initiatives.
  • Provide forecasts, weekly reports, and market insights to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Genomics or Synthetic Biology in a commercial role, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of genomics, sequencing, synthetic biology, and molecular biology techniques.
  • Experience working in a team environment and developing consultative sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Travel and Location

  • Extensive travel within the assigned territory (Los Angeles, Orange County, and parts of AZ, NM, NV, UT), up to 50% of the time.
  • Home office based in Los Angeles, CA preferred.
