Scientific Director (CME) - full-time, remote

 

Well-established medical education organization is seeking a Scientific Director to support the development of medical education content (ie. CME/CE).

 

You will be responsible for overseeing programs, developing and executing original content for live and online Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs in multiple therapeutic areas, including oncology, cardiology, CNS, infectious disease, pulmonary medicine, rheumatology.

 

This position is full-time, and can be fulfilled remotely.

 

The role requires the full-life cycle or CME programming, including development of needs assessments. You will also interact with external faculty (clinical and patient care experts) and includes collaboration with others within educational strategy, grant development, program delivery, outcomes, and analytics.

 

You will spend much of your time liaising with faculty to pull together content for the medical education programs - leading faculty content development calls, slide reviews, and provision of onsite direction to faculty meetings and symposia. You may also provide scientific editing as well as writing, and may be asked to give strategic input into new business proposals.

 

It is assumed that you will maintain a keen and up-to-date knowledge of everything pertaining your assigned therapeutic area or breast, to include the latest research, advancements, clinical guidelines, approved therapeutic drugs and drug pipelines, and industry trends to help guide and ensure the delivery of excellent medical education content and best-in-class CME programming.

 

You should have:

- At least 3 years hands-on content development in medical education (ideally within CME specifically)

- An advanced degree (eg. MD, DO, MN, MS, MPH, PharmD, PhD)

- Strengths in Oncology preferred but not essential.
