Business Development Representative

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to drive sales growth and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for developing business relationships. This role requires an individual who can effectively communicate complex technical concepts and identify new business opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage potential customers across target industries, including Medical Devices, and AgTech.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Generate leads through market research, networking, and outreach efforts.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to align solutions with customer requirements.
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Provide market feedback to the leadership team to refine business development strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or a related technical field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of optical technologies and their applications in various industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to achieve sales targets.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
