Job Title: Senior Vice President (SVP) - Copy

Location: Hybrid – 1 day a week in NYC office (mandatory)

I’m partnering with a market access agency dedicated to providing innovative solutions in value-based formulary design, patient support programs, and payer communications. We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Vice President of Copy to lead a talented team and drive excellence in  value and access copy initiatives.

Position Overview: We are looking for a strategic leader to head the copy group. This individual will be pivotal in shaping and executing high-impact copy strategies that effectively communicate value and access solutions. Must be a critical thinker who leads by example, can manage a busy and high-pressure environment, and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of copy professionals. Ensure the group operates efficiently and meets high standards of excellence in all projects.
  • Strategic Direction: Develop and implement strategic copy approaches for value-based formulary design, patient support programs, and payer communication.
  • Client Engagement: Act as a senior point of contact for clients, leading with insight and delivering exceptional service. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Team Integration: Collaborate with other senior leaders and departments to ensure cohesive strategies and seamless execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality and consistency of all copy produced by the team. Ensure that all deliverables meet client expectations and industry standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage workflow effectively, balancing multiple high-priority projects. Adapt to changing needs and provide solutions that align with client goals and agency objectives.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven track record in a senior copywriting or leadership role within a market access. Experience with value-based formulary design and payer communication is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with a hands-on approach to mentoring and development.
  • Strategic Thinker: Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and strategically about copy and communication challenges.
  • Client-Focused: Excellent client-facing skills with a proven ability to manage and grow client relationships.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
