Scientist Upstream Process Development

We are working with a growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specializing in biologics development and manufacturing across both microbial and mammalian platforms. 

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist in Upstream Process Development to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cell culture and Repligen ATF perfusion (or process intensification) with expertise in process development, optimization, and scale-up. This role will focus on designing and optimizing upstream processes to enhance biologics production efficiency and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize upstream processes for biologics production using microbial and mammalian platforms.
  • Design and execute experiments to improve cell culture performance, including process intensification strategies.
  • Utilize Repligen ATF perfusion technology to enhance productivity and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless technology transfer from development to manufacturing.
  • Analyze data, troubleshoot process challenges, and implement solutions to improve yield and efficiency.
  • Support scale-up activities from bench-scale to pilot and commercial production.
  • Maintain compliance with cGMP regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in cell culture and process development.
  • Expertise in Repligen ATF perfusion technology or process intensification strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in process optimization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
