Biotalent are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Enzyme Engineering. This role focuses on enzyme engineering. The successful candidate will lead early R&D client projects, develop and manage a team of up to 10 people, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee enzyme engineering projects, ensuring innovative and efficient solutions.
• Lead early-stage R&D client projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team of up to 10 scientists and technicians.
• Serve as the SME in enzyme engineering, providing guidance and expertise to the team and clients.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with company goals.

 

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree, a PhD in Preferred in Enzymology, Chemistry, Biological Sciences etc.
• Extensive experience in enzyme engineering in a biotechnology/chemicals or sustainability field.
• Proven track record of leading R&D projects and managing/supervising teams.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
