Director of Biologics / Head of QC - Baden-Württemberg, Germany

BioTalent is partnered with a global leader in Protein and Gene Analytics for the biopharmaceutical and gene therapy industries to support the hire of a Director of Biologics / Head of QC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management: Lead and develop multiple laboratory teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and functioning as the Head of Quality Control.
• Analytical Expertise: Oversee protein analytical methods, including method development, release testing, and stability studies. Manage a diverse portfolio of analytical techniques.
• Strategic and Operational: Ensure the release of laboratory results, manage GMP documents, and support the development and optimization of biologic methods. Drive the implementation of new technologies and automation in QC processes.

Experience required:

• PhD or master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology field.
• Minimum 4 years of QC experience in the biopharmaceutical GMP industry, with at least 2 years in leadership.
• Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with protein and peptide analytical techniques, strong understanding of biologics manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.
• Leadership and Skills: Proven leadership in managing QC teams, strong problem-solving, excellent communication, proficiency in data analysis and LIMS, and strong organisational skills.
