Job description

BioTalent are seeking a skilled and motivated Biopharmaceutical Investment Analyst to join a start-up focussed on investment banking/investment research within life sciences. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, analysing, and reporting on a wide range of industry data, including scientific, clinical, commercial, and market information.

 

You will conduct in-depth research and analysis of potential investment opportunities and provide detailed reports and presentations to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build and maintain relationships with key industry players and potential clients, including biopharmaceutical companies, researchers, and regulatory bodies.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Source, analyse, and report on public domain information, including scientific, clinical, commercial, and market data.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of potential investment opportunities in the biopharmaceutical sector.
  • Prepare detailed investment reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry players, including biopharmaceutical companies, researchers, regulatory bodies, and potential clients.

 

You will bring the following:

  • Strong ability to analyse and interpret complex scientific data and financial reports.
  • Established connections within the biopharmaceutical industry, including key stakeholders, researchers, and companies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing investment strategies.
  • Understanding of regulatory and market dynamics affecting the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • A degree in life science, biotechnology, biomedical, or pharmaceutical sciences is required; advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) or an MBA with a focus on healthcare, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals are highly beneficial.
  • Experience in investment banking, venture capital, or private equity within healthcare or biopharmaceutical sectors, or at least one year of research experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
