Position Summary:
As the Vice President of Sales, you will be a key strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth, leading the commercial sales strategy, and fostering strong customer relationships across the portfolio. This role demands a dynamic and visionary leader who can inspire a high-performing sales team and execute strategies to expand market share in the genomics and life sciences industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with growth objectives.
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a geographically dispersed sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
    • Foster a culture of performance, collaboration, and customer centricity within the sales organization.
  • Market Development:

    • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and customer segments.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and industry stakeholders.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategy.
  • Customer Engagement:

    • Act as a senior point of contact for strategic accounts and high-value partnerships.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty by aligning service offerings with client needs.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales initiatives with customer requirements.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Drive sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting processes.
    • Partner with internal teams to optimize sales operations, pricing strategies, and service delivery.
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure seamless collaboration between sales, marketing, and product teams.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive sales leadership experience in genomics, life sciences, or biotech industries.
    • Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams and achieving revenue growth.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field required; advanced degree (MBA or PhD) preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with CRM systems, data-driven decision-making, and pipeline management.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a global focus.
