BioTalent has teamed up with a leading Laboratory Equipment Manufacturer based in Zurich on their search for a Senior Electronic Engineer. This role will involve taking technical leadership on the electrical design aspects throughout the entire lifecycle of laboratory instruments, from concept generation to production support. You will work on complex projects, contribute to the design of cutting-edge mechatronic systems, and ensure they meet both technical and operational requirements.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the technical analysis and improvement of existing instruments and systems.
• Designing and developing electrical and mechatronic modules, ensuring optimal integration into overall systems.
• Evaluating design variants, focusing on cost efficiency and manufacturability.
• Ensuring designs can be tested, produced safely, and easily serviced in the field.
• Developing thorough documentation and managing the product lifecycle in line with industry standards.
• Conducting feasibility studies and hardware verification tests.

You will bring the following:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• A plethora of experience in instrument or module development, ideally in laboratory automation or a life science industry.
• Proficiency in electrical design engineering for automated laboratory devices.
• Experience with computer-assisted engineering software and familiarity with programming.
• Fluency in German and English.
