Senior Business Development Manager DACH

As a Senior Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving and securing business through proactive sales efforts, helping researchers and organizations tackle complex biological challenges using state-of-the-art technology and data analysis. You will play a key role in positioning our company as the preferred provider for outsourced sequencing projects, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic efforts in response to RFPs, including proposal development, client presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Achieve or exceed new business targets in line with assigned goals.
- Conduct cold outreach and client visits, maintaining a detailed record of sales activities and interactions.
- Act as the main liaison between the company and clients, managing all aspects of business development.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to drive service development and pricing strategies.
- A Master’s degree in Molecular Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in senior-level sales, particularly within Clinical Research Organizations (CRO), laboratory services, or related sectors.
- Proven ability to build and maintain mid- to high-level business relationships.
- Strong background in identifying sales leads, delivering professional presentations, negotiating contracts, and managing the entire sales cycle.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams in operations, finance, and marketing.
- Advanced English proficiency is required; additional European languages are a plus.
