Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and operations of the Legal & IP Department, including compliance and data protection, while continuously optimizing its structure and processes.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, management team, and all departments.
• Oversee legal aspects of projects, including M&A activities, commercial contracts, and intellectual property matters.
• Develop and implement strategies and policies in the areas of Legal & IP, compliance, and data protection to ensure adherence to regulations and corporate standards.
• Ensure corporate governance excellence and manage litigation, including IP rights enforcement and third-party challenges.
• Drive the IP strategy, working closely with business units, while maintaining and safeguarding the IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and domains.
• Manage departmental budgets effectively.

Qualifications

• Advanced law degree (Master of Law) with bar admission; additional education or a PhD in business administration is a plus.
• Extensive leadership experience with expertise in commercial law, corporate law, intellectual property, and corporate governance.
• Skilled negotiator with a hands-on approach to contracts and agreements.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a significant advantage.
• Collaborative, pragmatic, and results-driven leadership style.
• Strong track record of building strategic frameworks and processes in a global environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of compliance, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
