Job description
The Role:
Our client is looking for a FSE in the DMV area. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment.
This role is remote with regular travel to clients around the Greater DC area.
Must Haves:
- BS in Engineering
- Experience in the medical device industry.
- Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
- Proven record of being reliable and accountable for all aspects of their job.
- Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, and Teams.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting both on-site and remote training, installation, upkeep, and certifications for equipment.
- Overseeing Pharmaceutical IQ/OQ/yearly OQ and Clinical Validations processes.
- Executing scheduled Preventative Maintenance and implementing field adjustments.
- Diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues and grasping fundamental application concerns.
- Coordinating installation, PMs, repairs, and other field activities.
- Providing occasional phone support and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Ensuring timely completion of administrative tasks like maintaining service records and generating service reports.
- Maintaining regular communication and scheduling with customers to ensure satisfactory resolutions and follow-ups.
- Utilizing escalation procedures to address customer service delivery challenges.
- Maintaining and calibrating tools and testing equipment.
- Identifying and collaborating with Sales to capitalize on opportunities such as new service contracts, renewals, and system sales.
- Adhering to current regulatory standards including HIPAA, OSHA, and FDA guidelines.
