Position: Senior Biomedical Scientist Quality Lead (Histology)
Location: London, NW1
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week (with weekend rota participation)

Join an innovative healthcare diagnostics company at the forefront of advancing patient care. We are looking for a Senior Biomedical Scientist Quality Lead to drive excellence and ensure the highest quality standards within our histology labs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee laboratory processes, including specimen handling, slide preparation, and staining, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Lead the design and management of quality assurance programs to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
• Develop, update, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Provide expert guidance on histology techniques and mentor laboratory staff.
• Regularly assess quality metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Play a role in evaluating and validating new technologies and equipment for laboratory operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in histology lab operations, with a strong background in quality management.
• Expertise in histology techniques and a solid understanding of quality assurance processes.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
