Job description
Health & Safety Manager – Multi-Site Pharmaceutical Organisation
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a leading pharmaceutical organisation, to establish standardised Health & Safety structures and procedures across multiple manufacturing sites.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and managing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) systems across all UK manufacturing sites
- Ensure full compliance with the Health & Safety Executive, the Environmental Agency, and the Office of Nuclear Regulations. This includes overseeing site inspections and audits to maintain safety protocols
- Promoting a strong safety culture by providing guidance, training, and advice to staff and management, ensuring all employees are informed and engaged in safe work practices
- Lead investigations into any incidents, report findings, and implement preventative actions. Manage emergency procedures and continually review processes to ensure safety
You will bring the following:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, and a degree in Physics, Chemistry
- 5 years of experience in Health & Safety, within the Pharmaceutical and/or Radiopharmaceutical sector
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, Ionising Radiation Regulations, and risk management
- Ability to travel to multiple sites across the UK as a H&S SME
