Agile Coach
Job description
Position is 100% remote, looking for candidates located in either Brazil or North America.
Max Hourly rate of $70ph - $80ph
Interview process: 2 rounds (Could be 1)
Need:
-Someone who knows product management and agile coaching
-“I want people who have really worked or coached product managers as well as played the roles. I need someone who has played the role of a product manager or coached people in product management and an agile coach experience. Not just knowledge of those jobs.”
-They should be very good facilitators. Bringing people together to facilitate workshops. Help people use the tools. They should be very good trainers for Product and agile training.
-Should we be able to work with the team to set objectives
– “what is our north star for this year?” They should be able to facilitate OKR workshops. Should be an expert in facilitate PI planning, scrum of scrums, steering committee etc.
Day to day:
-Their job is to be to help the product managers with the product vision product strategy, product roadmap, and then create a collaboration between the business and IT. Figure out how the business meets the requirements and deliver them. They will also review the work, measure results, measure outcomes, etc.
-They will also be working with the leaders (who the product managers report to) to help them form teams. They will help with knowing how many teams to create and how to staff for those teams. They will help with team formations, and they need to coach the specific roles.
Coaching aspects: Coach product managers on their responsibilities, coach scrum master’s on their responsibilities etc. Then measure results like what is their efficiency of the delivery team, what are the reasons why they’re stuck, What are their KPIs, how fast are they delivering.
-Currently they have a few teams stood up. They could be working with 3-4 teams at once.
Tools:
-Miro (Mural is okay), Azure DevOps (ADO)
-Product management tools: KC uses Craft but it is okay if they have other tools such as Aha!, Jira Align, Jira Portfolio, or Rally
-Excel, Power Point
Certifications:
-Scaled agile framework
-SAFe
-Product Manager cert – Not mandatory but highly preferred
Previous issues:
-Lack of proactiveness. Not being self-driven. Waiting for things to be driven. Waiting for guidance. Behavioral issues speak to how energetic you are and how passionate at your work. They should have the energy of a 24- or 25-year-old.
