Position Overview
A leading role within the US Endocrine Medical Affairs team, the Medical Director will spearhead strategic and operational activities for clinical programs focused on rare and endocrine disorders. The role includes managing phase IV clinical trials, supporting product launch strategies, and contributing to the ongoing lifecycle management of marketed treatments. Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders and patient advocacy groups, is essential to drive medical strategy and education efforts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive medical strategies for product development, launch, and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Foster partnerships with healthcare professionals, clinical investigators, research centers, and advocacy organizations.
  • Lead educational and research efforts, including investigator-initiated studies, advisory boards, and clinical program oversight.
  • Act as a clinical expert and provide strategic input to internal teams across Regulatory, Commercial, and Compliance functions.
  • Ensure successful development and communication of medical education, publication plans, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and integrate clinical data trends and regulatory changes into medical strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) with at least three years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, particularly in medical affairs.
  • Clinical experience in North America or Europe, with a focus on rare or endocrine disorders highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional projects, and build strategic partnerships.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with cultural adaptability.
