London - Hybrid Working (3 days in office)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Epidemiologist to provide leadership in real-world studies, supporting global clients across a range of study designs and approaches. This role spans early clinical development through the post-approval stage, covering research areas such as the natural history of disease, external comparators, and comparative safety and effectiveness of drugs, biologics, and devices. Under the supervision of senior staff, the epidemiologist will design methodologically sound studies, provide input on study feasibility, and contribute to high-quality analysis and reporting. Oncology experience is required for this role to support specialized research initiatives in this field.
Essential Functions

Lead the design and implementation of epidemiology/pharmacoepidemiology methodologies in real-world studies, with a focus on oncology research, drug safety, and effectiveness studies.

Support senior staff on research initiatives as needed.

Serve as a project lead on smaller studies or support larger client-facing and internal projects.

Author protocols, reports, and other study documents with critical, independent thinking to ensure quality and completeness, while managing deliverable timelines.

Provide epidemiology input into statistical analysis plans, clinical study reports, and research outputs.

Support the development of case report forms (CRFs/eCRFs), feasibility assessments, and data landscaping reviews.

Interact with clients, addressing project-related challenges, budget considerations, and internal priorities.

Contribute to process improvements to enhance study quality and efficiency.

Participate in business development efforts, including proposal development for new projects.

Represent the organization externally through conference presentations and scientific contributions.

Conduct or oversee statistical analyses when required.
Qualifications

Master’s Degree in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, public health with a concentration in epidemiology, pharmacy with epidemiology specialization, or a relevant scientific field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience OR

Ph.D. in a relevant field with 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Strong epidemiological and methodological training, particularly in observational health research and oncology studies.

Experience designing and conducting observational studies related to comparative effectiveness and safety.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience in medical writing preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment with diverse teams.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Edge. Ability to interpret statistical outputs from SAS, R, or other programming languages.

Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of meeting project objectives efficiently.
