Job description

I am currently working with an incredibly exciting organization focused on developing and commercializing advanced cell therapies for serious medical conditions. Seeking a passionate and experienced Market Access Director to join our growing team at a leading biotech company dedicated to advancing burn care solutions. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring access and reimbursement for the innovative burn care therapies, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive market access strategies for our burn care portfolio.

  • Build and manage key relationships with national payers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and integrated delivery networks (IDNs) to secure favorable coverage and reimbursement for our products.

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of the burn care market landscape, including payer policies, coding, and pricing trends.

  • Drive market access by clearly articulating product value to key centers, leveraging expertise in therapeutic differentiation, hospital economics, treatment pathways, and PBM dynamics.

  • Develop and implement strategies to address payer concerns and ensure value proposition is effectively communicated.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Medical Affairs, Sales & Marketing) to ensure alignment and support market access initiatives.

  • Manage and mentor a team of Market Access professionals (if applicable).

  • Stay up-to-date on evolving regulations and policies impacting burn care reimbursement.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Market Access, preferably within the biopharmaceutical or medical device industry.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing market access strategies for burn care or related therapeutic areas.

  • Strong understanding of the US healthcare reimbursement landscape, including payer contracting, coding, and pricing strategies.

  • Experience interacting with hospitals and contractors from a cost perspective.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

  • Passion for patient advocacy and improving access to life-changing treatments.
